Description

A CPR mask, also known as a pocket mask or pocket face mask, is a device used to safely deliver rescue breaths during a cardiac arrest or respiratory arrest.
It is a one-way valve mask that prevents the rescuer’s breath from being exhaled back into their mouth and nose.
This helps to protect the rescuer from infection and also helps to improve the quality of the rescue breaths by preventing the rescuer’s exhaled air from mixing with the victim’s inhaled air.
One-way valve: A one-way valve prevents the rescuer’s exhaled air from coming back into the mask. This helps to protect the rescuer from exposure to the person’s bodily fluids.
Filter: A filter can be used to remove bacteria and viruses from the air that is being breathed into the mask. This helps to protect both the rescuer and the person receiving CPR.
Bite block: A bite block is a small piece of plastic that is placed between the person’s teeth to prevent them from biting down on the mask. This helps to create a better seal and prevents the mask from being dislodged.
Transparent dome: A transparent dome allows the rescuer to see the person’s face and check for signs of breathing or vomiting.
Durable materials: CPR masks are made of durable materials that can withstand repeated use.
